Expert Witness Valuation
The Professional Team are often instructed to undertake Expert Witness valuation work due to their in depth knowledge of markets, evidence, procedures and rules, valuation techniques and the application of valuation software.
We were recently instructed, for example, by Transport for London, which involved a development appraisal of a 10 acre development site 200 metres north of Broadgate, a claim which centred on compulsory purchase. The team’s work though, in the Expert Witness field, is much wider, focusing on rent review and lease renewal litigation work, negligence claims, dilapidations and valuation expert witness reports.
Nick Eden was instrumental in writing the current RICS Expert Witness Practice Statement and Guidance Note, and is directly and centrally involved in revisions of it now underway after five years. Advocacy PS and GN papers are also likewise being revised.
